For identification of the car identification number (VIN) serves. It is put on a car body in two places: on the central rack of a body in its lower part and on a body floor under a forward passenger seat. Number location on the central rack of a body is specified by an arrow fig. 1.3 , the locations on GI-2 cars see fig. 1.4 and 1.5 .

The location of identification number on a body floor under a forward passenger seat is specified by an arrow fig. 1.6 .

Identification number (VIN) has seventeen positions. The structure of number is shown on fig. 1.7 , in
tab. 1.4 is described number interpretation.

Engines of cars are supplied with identification numbers. Places of their drawing (see an arrow) are shown on fig. 1.8, 1.9, 1.10 .

Identification number of the engine has six positions. The structure of identification number is shown on fig. 1.11 , its interpretation is given in tab. 1.5.
