Check of level and oil replacement in a mechanical transmission
Check of level of oil
Be convinced of lack of a podtekaniye of oil from a transmission. Unscrew a stopper of a maslozalivny opening and check oil level. At pollution of oil fill in fresh oil.

       NOTE
Level of oil should be at the bottom edge of an opening. At decrease in level add oil while it will not start to follow, and wrap a stopper.

Unscrew a stopper of a maslozalivny opening and a finger check oil level.
Replace oil in a transmission case if it is considerably polluted or not that viscosity.
Oil replacement
Establish the car on an equal horizontal platform, unscrew a stopper of a masloslivny opening and merge oil.
Wrap a stopper of a masloslivny opening with new laying by the moment of 30-35 N · m.

Fill in fresh oil through a bulk opening (fig. 3.24) to level of its bottom edge.

       NOTE

Removal and installation of a mechanical transmission
Disconnect wires from the storage battery and remove the battery.
Remove the shelf of the storage battery, having unscrewed five bolts of its fastening.

Installation of a transmission is carried out as it should be, the return to removal.

Replacement of an epiploon of differential
Disconnect a shaft of a drive of a wheel from a transmission as it is specified in subsection «Drive of forward wheels».

— springs on absence of easing or damages.
Installation of cables of a drive of gear shifting is carried out as it should be, the return to removal.

Check of level of oil in an automatic transmission
Execute a trip on the car for warming up of oil of an automatic transmission to normal working temperature (80–90 °C).
Establish the car on an equal horizontal platform.
Serially establish the selector lever in the provision of inclusion of all transfers for filling with hydrotransformer and hydrosystem oil then establish the selector lever in the situation "N" (neutral).
Before taking out masloizmeritelny щуп, remove dirt round its opening. After that take out щуп and check an oil condition. The transmission is subject to repair in the presence of at least one of the following signs of decrease in quality of oil:
– smell of "burned" oil;
– considerable dimness of color of oil;
– appreciable existence of a large number of metal particles in oil.

       NOTE
Insufficient level of oil can cause a number of violations of work of a transmission as in the pump together with oil air will arrive. At air hit in oil air vials are formed. Thereof there are fluctuations of pressure of oil that becomes the reason of a delay of gear shifting, pro-slipping of friction clutches and brakes.

Level of oil should be at a label of "NOTES" (hot) щупа. At decrease in level to add oil to a label of "NOTES".
Transmission GENUINE DIAMOND ATF SP-III oil is used.
Excess of normal level of oil is inadmissible. When filling in a case of a transmission of excessive amount of oil it foams tooth gearings that leads to the same violations of work, as well as at insufficient level of oil, and also to fast deterioration of properties of oil. In both cases formation of air vials causes an overheat and premature oxidation of oil therefore normal operation of valves, friction clutches and servo-drivers is broken. Besides, foaming causes oil emission through a ventilating opening of a transmission that at survey of a box can be perceived as leakage of oil.

Attentively check an oil condition on щупу (fig. 3.43 and 3.44) .

PREVENTION
During this check ahead of and behind the car there should not be people.

Check of blocking of the hydrotransformer

       NOTE
Oil should be heated-up to normal working temperature (80–90 °C). The temperature of cooling liquid also should be the normal worker (about 80-90 °C).

At check of blocking of the hydrotransformer the maximum turns of the engine are defined at full loading and positions "D" and "R" of the lever of the selector. Operability of the coupling of a free wheeling of a stator of the hydrotransformer and holding ability of friction clutches of a transmission and a brake of lowering transfer and a backing is thus checked.

PREVENTION
Press a pedal against the stop only during such time which is necessary for obtaining the maximum indications of a tachometer, and at all do not hold a pedal in the pressed situation more than 5 pages. In need of repetition of check of blocking of the hydrotransformer previously let's to the engine work 2 mines at frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft about 1000 mines -1 ; the lever of the selector should be in neutral situation to reduce oil temperature.

Check oil level in a transmission case.
Enclose blocks under back wheels.
Connect a control tachometer.
Completely tighten the lever of a drive of the parking brake and against the stop press a brake pedal.
Start up the engine.
When finding the lever of the selector in situation "D" against the stop press an accelerator pedal before obtaining the maximum indication of a tachometer.
Frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft at the moment of hydrotransformer blocking – 2200–2800 mines -1 .
Establish the selector lever in the situation "R" and repeat check of blocking of the hydrotransformer as it is specified above.
Possible results of check.
1. Frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft when blocking the hydrotransformer is higher than norm when finding the lever of the selector in situation "D".
If frequency of rotation of the engine at which there is a hydrotransformer blocking, is higher than norm, the reason of it is pro-slipping of a back friction clutch or the coupling of a free wheeling of a transmission. In this case check hydraulic system to establish the pro-slipping reason.
2. Frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft when blocking the hydrotransformer is higher than norm when finding the lever of the selector in the situation "R".
If frequency of rotation of the engine at which there is a hydrotransformer blocking, is higher than norm, the reason of it is pro-slipping of a forward friction clutch or a brake of raising transfer and a transmission backing. In this case check hydraulic system to establish the pro-slipping reason.
3. Frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft when blocking the hydrotransformer is lower than norm when finding the lever of the selector in situation "D" or "R".
If frequency of rotation of the engine at which there is a hydrotransformer blocking, is lower than norm, the reason of it is the lack of the capacity developed by the engine, or malfunction of the hydrotransformer. Check the engine on existence of admissions of ignition of a mix, violation of installation of an advancing of ignition, correctness of adjustment of gaps in the mechanism of a drive of valves. If the engine is serviceable, the hydrotransformer is faulty.

Check of work of a drive of switching
Check of operation of the lever of the selector
Transferring the selector lever to all provisions, check smoothness of its course and clearness of switching. Check correctness of work of the index of position of the lever of the selector.
Be convinced that the lever of the selector is established in all provisions.
Start up the engine and be convinced that the car begins movement by a forward course when translating the lever of the selector from the situation "N" in situation "D" and movement by a backing at lever installation in the situation "R".
At violation of operation of the lever of the selector adjust a hummock drive of management and the plug of the lever of the selector.
Check mobile parts of the lever of the selector on wear existence.

       NOTE
At adjustment of position of the case of the switch track that the sealing ring did not drop out of the case. A bolt of fastening tighten, without making excessive effort.

Adjustment of the switch of the selector
Establish the selector lever in the situation "N" (neutral).

Disconnect a cable from the lever of a drive of an accelerator (fig. 3.45) , having weakened an inhaling of a lock nut.
Establish the lever of a drive of the selector in the situation "N" (neutral).

Turn of the case of the switch of the selector combine the end of the lever of a drive of the selector in width of 12 mm with a part of a flange of the case of the switch in width of 12 mm (fig. 3.46) .
Tighten fastening bolts (two bolts) the moment of 10-12 N · m.
Be convinced that the lever of the selector is in the situation "N" (neutral).
As nut rotation with a fillet choose a weak point of a cable of management and be convinced of smoothness of moving of the lever of the selector.

       NOTE
Before assembly put DC780 hermetic or similar on an average part of a carving of the adjusting screw.

During a trial trip be convinced of correctness and clearness of gear shifting.
Adjustment of the switch of the Kick-down mode
Carefully remove dirt round the adjusting screw of the switch of the Kick-down mode.
Weaken a screw lock-nut.
Turn on twice and tighten the adjusting screw the moment of 5 N · m.
Tighten the adjusting screw the moment of 5 N · m, then unscrew it approximately on 1/3 turns.
Tighten a screw lock-nut the moment of 15-22 N · m.

Change of pressure upon one turn of the adjusting screw makes 0,39 kgfs/cm 2 .

Rotation of the adjusting screw (fig. 3.52) of the valve of a regulator establish demanded pressure in the highway (pressure in a Kick-down mode brake). At screw rotation clockwise pressure decreases, at rotation counter-clockwise – raises.
Pressure should be 8,77–9,18 kg/cm 2 .
Be convinced available and correctness of installation of a sealing ring of the hydraulic block.
Replace a sealing ring of the contact socket of the electromagnetic valve.

Establish the hydraulic block on a transmission case, then insert into a case the socket of the electromagnetic valve (fig. 3.53)  so that the groove of the case of the socket was in the situation shown by an arrow.

       NOTE
Below process of adjustment of lowering pressure in the absence of the diagnostic HI-SCAN device is described.

Track that wires were not clamped.
Tighten bolts of fastening of the hydraulic block the moment of 10-12 N · m.
Establish the oil filter.
Establish the oil pallet with new laying.

       NOTE
Nominal lowering pressure makes (4,2±0,22) kg/cm 2 . At adjustment of lowering pressure establish average value of the specified limit.
Change of pressure of oil on each turn of the adjusting screw makes 0,22 kgfs/cm 2 .

Fill in in a transmission case demanded amount of oil for automatic transmissions.
Check pressure of oil and if necessary adjust it.

PREVENTION
This adjustment is carried out at temperature of oil of 80-90 °C. If adjustment is carried out at temperature above specified, pressure idling the engine will fall and it is correct adjust pressure it can to appear impossible.

Adjustment of lowering pressure
Remove details up to the oil filter, as well as at pressure adjustment in the highway.
To remove the hydraulic block it is not required.
Establish the adjusting screw in the lower part of the hydraulic block demanded lowering pressure. At rotation of the adjusting screw clockwise lowering pressure decreases, at rotation counter-clockwise – increases.
Establish the oil filter and the oil pallet as well as at pressure adjustment in the highway.
Check pressure and if necessary adjust it.
Replacement of epiploons of target shaft of differential
Disconnect a shaft of a drive of a wheel from a transmission.

Remove an epiploon of a target shaft (fig. 3.54) a screw-driver with a flat shliyets.
Opravka (09431-21200) press a new epiploon of a target shaft of differential in a nest of a case of a transmission.

PREVENTION
If on the engine the hydrotransformer at first is established, the epiploon can be damaged from a transmission. Therefore it is necessary to connect the hydrotransformer to a transmission at first. At installation of an arm of a balansirny support do not assume a smyatiya of an elastic pillow that can cause vibration at operation of the engine idling.

г) check correctness of adjustment of a cable.

Disconnect a cable of blocking of the lever of the selector from a blocking cam (fig. 3.76) .

Unscrew a bolt of fastening of a cable of blocking of the lever of the selector (fig. 3.77) .

Remove an arm of the lever of the selector (fig. 3.79) .

Remove a cable, having unscrewed bolts of fastening of its cover to the lower part of the dashboard (fig. 3.80) .
Remove the button of the handle of the lever of the selector for what unscrew screws of its fastening, wring out the button up, and then press it.
Check of a technical condition
Check the following:
– a clamp on wear existence;
– the plug on existence of wear or damages;
– a spring on existence of damages or easing;
– on wear existence a pin on the end of a core of the lever of the selector.

PREVENTION
After each removal самоконтрящиеся nuts are subject to obligatory replacement.

Installation of a drive of gear shifting is carried out as it should be, the return to removal.
