Check and adjustment of corners of installation of wheels
For check of corners of installation of lobbies and back wheels (a longitudinal tilt angle of an axis of turn, disorder, a convergence and an angle of rotation of wheels) by means of the computer stand establish the car on an equal horizontal platform, forward wheels establish in the provision of rectilinear movement. Before check be convinced of normal work of a forward suspension bracket and a steering; check, that operated wheels were in the provision of movement on
straight line; be convinced that pressure in tires corresponds to norm.

The convergence of forward wheels (the sizes A and B

) (fig. 4.52)
is regulated by rotation of steering drafts. The corner of a convergence of the left forward wheel can be reduced rotation of steering draft towards a forward part of the car. The convergence of both forward wheels is regulated by rotation of both steering drafts on equal size.
The convergence of forward wheels (V-and)
should be (0±2) mm.
Moment of an inhaling of fastening of a tip of steering draft of 50-55 N · m.

At adjustment of a convergence rotate both helmsmen of draft on identical size (fig. 4.53)

Before adjustment of a convergence of forward wheels weaken an inhaling of external collars of fastening of protective covers of the steering mechanism to prevent their perekruchivaniye.
Upon termination of adjustment tighten lock-nuts of tips of steering drafts and external collars of covers of the steering mechanism.
Regulate a convergence of each wheel in limits ±1,5 mm.

Disorder of forward wheels
The corner of disorder of wheels is established at plant by installation of a rotary fist under a certain corner and at operation to adjustment is not subject.
Corner of disorder of wheels 0 °±30'.
Longitudinal tilt angle of an axis of turn of forward wheels
The longitudinal tilt angle of an axis of turn (tab. 4.1) is established at plant and adjustment is not subject. At a corner deviation from norm replace the deformed and damaged details of a suspension bracket.

Before check of corners of installation of forward wheels replace the worn-out and damaged details of a forward suspension bracket.
Check of corners of installation of wheels carry out by means of the computer equipment for check of corners of installation of lobbies and back wheels.
Disorder of wheels and longitudinal tilt angle of an axis of turn of forward wheels establish at plant and during operation they are not subject to adjustment.
At a deviation of corners of disorder and a longitudinal corner of an axis of turn from norm replace on - the bent and damaged details of a suspension bracket.
The difference between a corner of disorder and a longitudinal tilt angle of an axis of turn between left and right wheels should be within 0 °±30'.

Check and adjustment of corners of installation of back wheels
The convergence of back wheels is established at plant and during operation to adjustment is not subject.
Control values:
– a convergence of back wheels (2±2) mm (an admissible difference between left and right wheels no more than 2 mm);
– disorder of back wheels–1 °±30' (an admissible difference between left and right wheels no more than 45').
Check of wear of tires
Check depth of drawing of a protector of the tire.
Minimum admissible depth of drawing of a protector of 1,6 mm.
At depth of a protector which less than maximum permissible value, replaces the tire.
NOTE
At the wear of a protector exceeding maximum permissible value (1,6 mm), wear indicators become visible.

Lift the car and establish it on supports.

At excess specified below values of palpation replace a wheel.
Maximum permissible palpation of wheels:
wheels with steel stamped disks:
– radial palpation of 0,6 mm (average value for the left and right wheels);
– axial palpation of 1,0 mm;
wheels with light-alloy wheels:
– radial palpation of 0,3 mm;
– axial palpation of 0,3 mm.
The moment of an inhaling of nuts of fastening of wheels with steel stamped and light-alloy wheels makes 90–110 N · m.
PREVENTION
In case of use гайковерта check the inhaling moment by means of a dinamometrichesky key.

. If the car withdraws in one party, rearrange wheels, as shown below.
Trade places forward wheels and check stability of the car, having executed a trial trip.
If the car again withdraws in the same party, replace forward wheels new.
If the car withdraws in other party, trade places lobbies and back wheels from each party and again execute a trial trip.
If the car still withdraws in one party, again trade places forward wheels and execute a trial trip.
